Cool Running

Cool Running is the complete online resource for runners of all ability. We love running as much as you do, which is why we have created the Web's best collection of information, services and tools for the running community.  Great resource for info about LOCAL RACES and RESULTS! Also check out their PACE CALCULATOR.

Active.com
Active.com is a online community for people who want to discover, learn, share, register and ultimately participate in activities. Millions of active individuals visit each month to search and register online for races, team sports and recreational activities; start online training programs; and access nutrition, fitness and training tips.
Marathon Guide
MarathonGuide.com is the web's largest directory of US Marathons and International Marathons. We're here to be the one-stop source for everything marathoning.
Map My Run
MapMyRun.com is a site where you can easily plot maps of your runs without a GPS, search for runs or routes globally, keep track of your routes including distances, and even calculate how many calories you've burned on one route versus another!  You can find many routes of varying distances by looking for public routes that start with SHEEDOG or WAMP.
Coupled with a GPS receiver SportTracks will automatically track the distance, time and pace of your workouts. You'll be able to take a high level view and track your progress over time, or dive into the details of a specific exercise to analyze your pace, elevation, or heart-rate performance. Activities can be organized into categories, or summarized by location.  FREE download - works great with GARMINS!
